Can I match a LinkedIn widget to my brand fonts and colors?
Short answer
Yes. In LinkedInEmbed you can set a light or dark theme, any accent color, a font, corner radius, shadow, border, card background, width and alignment, plus cards per row and text length, and show or hide individual elements. A live preview shows each change before you save. You choose from built-in fonts rather than uploading your own.
What you can customize
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Theme | Light or dark |
| Accent color | Any color, entered as a hex code such as #0A66C2 |
| Font | Geist, Inter, DM Sans, Manrope or Lora (serif) |
| Corners and depth | Corner radius from square to very round; shadow from none to large; optional border |
| Card background | Solid, or transparent so your section's background shows through |
| Size and position | Width from small to full, aligned left or center |
| Layout | 1 to 4 cards per row; classic or compact layouts for profile and company cards |
| Content | Show or hide media, dates, engagement, skills, experience and more; custom button labels |
Matching your site in four steps
Finally, set the width and alignment so the widget lines up with the content around it. A widget that's as wide as your text column, with the same spacing as your other sections, looks like part of the page rather than something pasted in. Change one setting at a time and compare in the preview; small changes to radius and shadow often make the biggest difference.
- 1
Start with the theme
Light for light sections, dark for dark ones. See does the widget support dark mode?
- 2
Use your brand color
Paste your primary brand color's hex code as the accent color. It's used for links and buttons.
- 3
Pick the closest font
Choose the built-in font nearest to your site's body text. Lora suits serif designs; Inter, DM Sans, Manrope and Geist suit most sans-serif sites.
- 4
Match shapes
Set the corner radius and shadow to match your site's cards and buttons, then check the live preview on light, gray or dark backgrounds.
What you can't change
Design changes go live on every page where the widget is embedded as soon as you save. Browse styled examples on the examples page.
- The LinkedIn content itself: post text, images and profile details come from LinkedIn.
- Custom font files: you choose from the built-in fonts.
- Your website's own CSS: the widget renders in an iframe, so your site's styles don't reach inside it. Use the widget settings instead.
- The “Powered by LinkedInEmbed” link on the Free plan. Pro and Essentials widgets show no LinkedInEmbed branding.
