How to embed a single LinkedIn post
Quick answer
To embed one LinkedIn post, open the post on LinkedIn, click the three-dot menu, choose “Embed this post” and copy the iframe code into your website's HTML block. It's free and built into LinkedIn. The post must be visible to Anyone. You don't need a third-party tool for this.
Steps using LinkedIn's built-in embed
- 1
Open the post
Find the post on LinkedIn. It has to be a public post, visible to Anyone.
- 2
Get the embed code
Click the three-dot (…) menu on the post and choose “Embed this post”. Copy the iframe code that appears.
- 3
Paste it into your site
Add an HTML, code or embed block in your website builder and paste the code. Adjust the iframe's height if the post is cut off.
LinkedIn controls the menu wording and availability. If you don't see “Embed this post”, the post is probably not public.
Limitations of a single-post embed
- It shows one post only. To feature several, you embed each one separately.
- It doesn't update: new posts never appear automatically.
- The design is LinkedIn's, with limited control over size and none over colors or fonts.
- Posts that aren't public can't be embedded.
When a feed widget makes more sense
If you want your website to always show your latest posts, or to show several posts in a grid, a feed widget saves you from replacing embed codes by hand. LinkedEmbed's free plan includes one feed widget. See how to embed a LinkedIn feed.
| Single-post embed | LinkedEmbed feed widget | |
|---|---|---|
| Posts shown | 1 | Up to 30, newest first |
| Updates automatically | No | Yes, by plan refresh interval |
