How to fix a LinkedIn feed that is not showing

Quick answer

If your LinkedIn feed isn't showing, check that you're viewing the published page (not the editor), that both the <div> and the <script> were pasted, and that your builder allows scripts; if not, use the iframe snippet. A feed that shows old posts will update at your plan's next refresh.

Quick checklist

  1. 1

    Look at the published page

Webflow, Squarespace, Weebly and some Elementor setups don't run custom scripts inside the editor. Open the live URL in a private window.

  2. 2

Check the full snippet was pasted

    The script embed has two parts: a <div class="linkedembed-widget" data-widget-id="…"> and a <script src="…/embed.js">. Both are required.

  3. 3

Allow scripts, or switch to the iframe

Some builders and plans strip <script> tags. Use the iframe snippet from the Integration tab, which needs no JavaScript.

  4. 4

    Check your account and plan

Widgets stop showing while an account is paused (for example after a cancelled subscription ends) or when a widget is over your plan's widget limit. Check the dashboard.

  5. 5

    Clear page caches

If you use a caching plugin or CDN, purge the page cache after adding the code.

Widget is cut off or has empty space

  • Wix and Framer show embeds in a fixed-size box: drag the element taller, and check the mobile layout separately.
  • The iframe snippet has a fixed height (640px by default): change the height value in the code to fit your widget.
  • The script snippet resizes itself automatically, so prefer it wherever your builder allows scripts.

Feed isn't showing the newest posts

Widgets refresh from LinkedIn while they're being viewed, at most once per refresh interval of your plan. A post published just now appears after the next refresh. Design changes you save in the dashboard go live immediately.

Some posts are missing

  • Only public LinkedIn content can be shown.
  • Reposts are hidden if “Include reposts” is turned off.
  • The feed shows up to the number of posts set in the widget (maximum 30).

Sites with a Content Security Policy

If your site sends a Content-Security-Policy header, allow the LinkedEmbed domain in script-src (for embed.js) and frame-src (for the widget iframe). Your browser console will show a CSP error if either is blocked.

Builder-specific help

  • WordPress: some WordPress.com plans strip scripts. Use the iframe snippet.
  • Elementor: check Preview or the live page if the editor shows nothing.
  • Wix: set the Embed HTML element's height, including on mobile.
  • Webflow: custom code runs on the published site, not in the Designer.
  • Squarespace: scripts in Code blocks need a plan with custom code support.
  • React / Next.js: call window.LinkedEmbed?.mount() after client-side navigation.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my LinkedIn widget work in preview but not on my site?

Usually the live page is cached or the builder removed the <script> tag on publish. Purge the cache, then check the page source for the embed code. If the script was stripped, use the iframe snippet.

Why did my widget disappear?

Widgets stop showing while an account is paused, for example when a cancelled subscription reaches the end of its paid period, or when a widget is over the plan's widget limit. Reactivate or adjust widgets in the dashboard and it shows again.

Can I make the feed update faster?

Refresh speed depends on your plan: every 72 hours on Free, 24 hours on Pro and 30 minutes on Essentials.
