How many posts can a LinkedIn widget show?

Short answer

A LinkedInEmbed posts feed shows up to 30 of the latest posts from one LinkedIn profile or company page. You choose how many, and lay them out in 1 to 4 cards per row. In Selected posts mode, on Pro and Essentials, you hand-pick up to 4 specific posts instead of showing the latest ones.

Cards per row1 to 4; grids use fewer columns automatically on narrow screens

How many should you show?

Whatever number you choose, a live feed shows your latest posts up to that number, and older ones drop off as you publish new ones. These are suggestions, not rules. Fewer posts load faster and keep attention on your call to action; see does a widget slow down my site?

PlacementA good starting point
Homepage section3 posts in a row, or 6 in two rows
Sidebar or narrow column2 to 3 posts, one per row, short text
Newsroom or “Latest updates” page9 to 12 posts in a 3-column grid
Speaker or creator portfolio4 hand-picked posts that show your best work

Need more than that?

  • A live feed shows your latest posts only, so older posts drop off as you publish new ones. To keep a favorite visible, pick it in Selected posts: picked posts stay even after newer posts push them out of your latest posts.
  • For more than 4 hand-picked posts, create a second widget from the same source; it still counts as one LinkedIn source.

Layout tips

  • Short text suits grids of three or four cards per row; full text suits a single column.
  • Hide media in sidebars to keep cards compact, and show it on news pages where images help.
  • Grids reduce their columns automatically on narrow screens, so check how your post count looks stacked on a phone.
  • Show dates where freshness matters, such as a newsroom, and consider hiding them on evergreen pages.
  • Changed the post count or layout? It goes live as soon as you save, on every page where the widget appears.
