How to add a LinkedIn feed to Teachable
In Teachable, the quickest place for a LinkedIn widget is a lesson: paste the embed code into a Custom Code block in the lesson editor and save. School pages have a Custom HTML block too, but Teachable doesn't enable it for new schools by default.
Step-by-step: add a LinkedIn widget to Teachable
- 1
Create your LinkedIn widget
Sign up for free, click New widget, choose Person or Company, and paste your LinkedIn profile or company page URL.
- 2
Customize and copy the embed code
Pick a widget (posts feed, profile card, company page, jobs, recommendations, certifications or projects), match your brand, then open the Integration tab and copy the code.
- 3
Open the lesson
In your Teachable admin, select the course in the sidebar, click Curriculum and open the lesson (or create a new one).
- 4
Add a Custom Code block
In the lesson editor, paste the embed code into a Custom Code block and click Save.
- 5
Preview the lesson
Click Preview to check that the widget appears the way students will see it.
Your embed code looks like this
Copy the exact code, with your widget ID, from the Integration tab in the LinkedInEmbed dashboard.
<div class="linkedembed-widget" data-widget-id="YOUR_WIDGET_ID"></div>
<script src="https://www.linkedinembed.com/embed.js" async></script>Tips for Teachable
- For a school page, such as your About page, use the page editor's Custom HTML block. Teachable doesn't enable Custom HTML blocks for new schools as a security measure, so contact Teachable Support to request access.
- In the page editor, check your Custom HTML block with Preview, then click Update to save the page.
- An instructor profile card or recommendations widget in an intro lesson shows students who's teaching the course.
- Teachable Support doesn't troubleshoot custom code. If the script version doesn't appear, try the iframe snippet, or see LinkedIn feed not showing? Fixes.
