How to add a LinkedIn feed to Google Sites
Google Sites accepts custom code through Insert → Embed → Embed code. Sites shows embedded code in a box with a fixed size, so the iframe snippet from the Integration tab, sized to fit your widget, gives the most predictable result.
Step-by-step: add a LinkedIn widget to Google Sites
- 1
Create your LinkedIn widget
Sign up for free, click New widget, choose Person or Company, and paste your LinkedIn profile or company page URL.
- 2
Customize and copy the embed code
Pick a widget (posts feed, profile card, company page, jobs, recommendations, certifications or projects), match your brand, then open the Integration tab and copy the code.
- 3
Open the Embed dialog
Open your site in Google Sites on a computer. In the panel on the right, click Insert, then Embed, and choose the Embed code tab.
- 4
Paste the code and insert it
Paste the iframe snippet (or the script snippet), click Next to see a preview, then click Insert.
- 5
Resize the box and publish
Drag the embed's handles until the whole widget is visible, then click Publish at the top right.
Your embed code looks like this
Copy the exact code, with your widget ID, from the Integration tab in the LinkedInEmbed dashboard.
<div class="linkedembed-widget" data-widget-id="YOUR_WIDGET_ID"></div>
<script src="https://www.linkedinembed.com/embed.js" async></script>Tips for Google Sites
- Google Sites puts embedded code in its own box that doesn't grow with its content, so the script snippet can't resize it. Use the iframe snippet and set a height that fits, or drag the embed box taller.
- Leave a little extra height for longer posts, and check the published page on a phone.
- Want the widget to fill a whole page? Click Pages, hover over Add, choose Full page embed and paste the code the same way.
- If you use the script snippet, keep the <script> tags: Google Sites expects JavaScript to be wrapped in them, and the copied code already is.

LinkedIn on Google Sites: FAQ
Why is my LinkedIn widget cut off in Google Sites?
The embed box has a fixed size. Click the embed and drag its bottom handle down, or switch to the iframe snippet and set a height that fits the whole widget.
Does the auto-resizing script work in Google Sites?
The widget loads, but the box Google Sites draws around embedded code doesn't resize itself, so you still need to size the embed by hand. The iframe snippet with a fixed height is simpler here.
Which LinkedIn widget will you add to Google Sites?
Every widget uses the same embed code, so the steps above work for all of them.
